Phil has been focusing on leadership development, coaching and organizational improvement for over 20 years. His core skills are in group facilitation, team development, leadership coaching and career management. He is especially effective in helping leaders enhance performance and deliver improved results. His approach ensures we have fun while doing it.

He brings a well-rounded background to organizations, having held prior roles as an Information Systems Professional, Controller, Sales and Marketing Management positions, including 10 years with IBM Canada. His current clients include Talisman Energy, Nexen, TELUS, Devon Canada, Deloitte, Provident Energy, Pengrowth, TransCanada and ARC Resources. His work has brought him across Canada, the United States, to Europe and Asia. He has also enjoyed extensive personal travel and has a deep interest and appreciation for global cultures and people.

Phil is the President of Potentials Unlimited Inc., a consulting and training company based in Calgary, Canada. Since 1995 he and his associates have built up an exceptional track record for delivering successful projects to clients.

Learning has always been a high priority and Phil has over 500 hours of training and accreditation in the area of Leadership Development. He has deep expertise in working with MBTI™ step I and II, Insights Discovery™ amongst other instruments.

Much of Phil's work is with senior leaders and leadership teams, providing coaching, facilitation support, ideas and perspective on strategy development, execution, leadership team effectiveness and organizational performance. His clients appreciate his creative ability to deliver outcomes, enhance relationships, have some fun and build energy within the groups he supports.

Phil lives in Calgary with his wife Jan and son Devin. They enjoy spending considerable time at their mountain home in Fernie BC, enjoying family time in the mountains, skiing and mountain biking. Phil’s new sport is skateboarding – the allure of carving the big bowls at the moment outweighs the painful slap of reality provided by concrete. He is currently looking for an exceptional skateboard coach to shorten his steep learning curve.
