For her entire career, Margo Purcell has developed creative ways to help people share the best of themselves, their talents and their abilities with others.

During more than 15 years in customer service, Margo has been involved in a wide range of industries. She began by tackling the Insurance industry and consistently surpassing service standards and sales targets while with HB Group Insurance Management Ltd., in Mississauga, Ontario and Calgary, Alberta, Canada. After only eight months on the job she became their first Customer Advocate and then trained other agents to deliver on their promises to customers.

From there, Margo turned to the weight management industry. Worth billions of dollars, this industry is far more effective when it nurtures clients on an emotional level while helping empower them to reach their health and fitness goals. Her achievements for Weight Watchers in Calgary have proven successful for her clients and for the company with increased product sales, high attendance at member meetings and huge overall group weight loss.

Margo then turned to working with and coaching individuals. Included in her list of clients is actor Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy).

Margo has shared her innovative approach to positive living and language at a variety of conventions including at the Asian American Journalists Association annual convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota. There Margo influenced hundreds of busy journalists by showing them the path to achieving balance in their lives. Realizing their professions can place huge demands on journalists, Margo provided concrete steps that participants could apply to their demanding work and life commitments.

Her extensive training in facilitating and active listening has made her open and receptive to what people say and, more importantly, what they don’t say. That’s the gift she brings to her workshops and clients as she helps people connect with their passion and serve others through that passion. Margo believes that if the people within an organization can find their strengths that will empower them to be effective leaders in their careers and their lives. Her company, Open to Possibilities, serves its clients by showing them how to live with passion and in the moment.

With a Bachelor of Arts, Honours degree, Margo is bilingual in French and English. She is an Insights Discovery Licensed Practitioner and a Destination Coach graduate.

Margo and her husband live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with their children.
